Garbh Sanskar:Ayurveda Food Plan

Ayurveda Food Plan:
According to Ayurveda : You are what you eat: The age old saying is so true
It has been clearly mentioned in the Ayurveda and have been proven scientific way that you become what you eat. In other words, the food that you consume influences every decision you make and every step you take in life. A good diet that provides balanced nutrition to the body is the best type of diet.however, "You are what you eat" has a far more subtle and powerful meaning”
According to Ayurveda the science of self-healing, food plan is divided into 3 categories. Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamsic foods.  nature, energy, matter and consciousness.
Ayureda Believes in Gunas. We have already vested this unique ability to consciously alter the levels of these gunas in our bodies and minds. The gunas cannot be separated. The Gunas can not be removed from us, but we can consciously enhance or diminish them through the influence of material objects and the manner in which we live and by bringing awareness to our thoughts and actions.
Threee Gunas are:Tamas,Rajas and sattva:Anything we hear, smell, see, taste or touch may be classified into the categories of Sattvic, Rajasic or Tamasic.
Fresh fruits
Sattvic Food:The word Sattvic is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word Sattva which means pure.In brief, sattvic food is one that can be digested easily and brings balance on one's mind.sattvic foods are fresh, light and nutritious; It helps in building immunity and improving the healing response in those who are unwell.Sattvic foods are light and easy to digest.Sattvic food all food closest to the natural form and includes milk, milk products, fruits, most fresh vegetable.Sattvic is ahimsic (non-violent) in nature. Therefore, in principle, sattvic food is that which is prepared without harming living organisms. It is food that is cooked according to the law of nature; it is cut, cooked and consumed after sunrise and before sunset. If the saying, "we are what we eat" is true, then Sattvic food is definitely the way to be.Satvik means 'perfectly balanced.' When applied to food, it helps in achieving the perfect harmony of mind, body and spirit, the practice of eating food that is pure.Following a Sattvic diet requires a little planning but has many benefits, the most important being that it increases your immunity. This kind of food keeps the mind pure and calm, generates equilibrium and help in energizing the entire being. And when you make a conscious decision to eat sattvic food, it has a positive impact on your intellect.Sattvic food promotes the qualities of forgiveness and austerity. Everything within and around you becomes highly exhilarating. More life forces are activated in our body with fresh foods, our perspective, motivation, inspiration, consciousness and joy expand widely beyond our imagination. Eat organic food that includes plenty of fruits, dry fruits, pure fruit juices, milk, butter, cheese, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds. It is mood refreshing and a person is always in a state of bliss.
Garbh Sanskar explains you how to follow a satvik diet prior to attempting conception and during pregnancy. We will let you know at the time of your visit to our hospital for more understanding it in detail.
Rajasic Food (mode of passion) : The word Rajasic is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word Rajas (one of the three gunas).Rajasic foods energetic and agitating;Foods that are very hot, bitter, sour, dry or salty are Rajasic. They are irritants and stimulants.Rajasic foods make the mind more agitated and susceptible to temptation. The mind can become more rajasic, which means it tends towards anger,  and hate. Spicy foods are stimulating, and therefore are destructive to mind-body equilibrium in that they feed the body at the expense of the mind.It is believed to generate ambition, anger, greed, lust, and egotism.Rajastic food is cooked fresh and is of high quality and nutrient density. It also contains more spices and oil than Satvic cooking. Too much rajasic food will over stimulate the body and excite the passions, making the mind restless and uncontrollable.Types of Rajasic food are-Liquor,Fish,All types of meat, Eggs, species, onion, garlic, coffee, carbonated drinks etc:most modern day junk foods, spicy, salty, sweet, and fatty foods are also included in this list, which are not as easily digestible as Sattvic foods.Maximum portion of Rajasic food rather than being used by the body is thrown out as a waste.
Tamasic Food:The word Tamasic is derived from an ancient Sanskrit word Tamas (one of the three gunas).Tamas means darkness and degeneration in health. The Tamasic personality suffers from intense mood swings, insecurities, desires, cravings and is unable to deal with others in a balanced manner.Tamasic people usually lead a sedentary lifestyle and enjoy packaged and processed foods, which are rich in calories. They have no control over their appetites and indulge in mindless eating.Tamasic food is heavy, dull and depressing  and stale foods. Consumption of this type of food results in various physical ailments like indigestion, ulcers etc.Tamasic foods are known to benefit neither the mind nor the body. Under their influence, the body’s resistance to disease is destroyed, and the mind is filled with the negative emotions of greed, anger, and impure thoughts and —It induces sleep. This type of food is very difficult to digest and generates the least amount of energy. These foods consume large amounts of energy while being digested. The body feels heavy. Processed, canned, and frozen foods are Tamasic, as well as foods containing preservatives, chemical additives, artificial flavors and colors, and reheated and deep-fried foods.
