KARMA-AYURVEDA AND PREGNANCY

Among the factors determining the childs character (sattva), Ayurveda refers to karma. Other determinants include activities of the expectant mother, as we have indicated, personalities of both parents, what is heard by the woman at the moment of conception and several other factors. Actions of the father prior to conception influence the offspring through their effects on the father’s semen. According to the theory of conception articulated in the Ayurvedic texts, a viable embryo (garbha) results from the successful union of semen (sukra) and menstrual blood (artava) etc.

A viable embryo must have five constituents, without which the development of the fetus cannot proceed. Contributions from the mother (matrja) and father (pitrja) nutrients individual self (atman) through which the influence of karma is manifest, and a constitutional integrity (satmya) binding these together, which is responsible for health, clarity and virility. Blood, fat, heart, lungs and other vital organs derive from maternal contributions; from the father come hair, beard, nails, teeth and muscle. The fact of arising in a particular womb, life span, intellect, instinct, emotion and a sense of self are each governed by the atman. Nourishment is responsible for the formation and growth of the body, maintaining life, satiety and strength, and nourishment is essential for both pregnant mother and foetus of fetus. Sattva specifies an individual’s intellectual and emotional character, and it arises spontaneously from atmanin a given birth and departs at death; it also influences the manifestations of atman in the next birth. When pure it admits memory of past incarnations, and Charaka identifies sattva as the essential determinant of an individual’s particular personality traits. Karma is primarily a property of atman, but it also mediates other manifestations of atman and is associated with sativa.
Charaka Samhita discusses three classes of sattva: pure (sudha), impassioned (rajasa) and foolish (tamasa), and from these three proceed a variety of personality types. They are also associated with specific types of body build. Character types under the sudha class are named after deities. Brahama personality is pure, truthful, wise and free of passions. Risi (sage) type is devoted to sacrifices, study, vows and similar concerns. The Indra personality is powerful, acquisitive, virile and concerned with his possessions and pleasures. Yama type is more conservative: he does what he is supposed to and what is proper; he doesn’t fight and he doesn’t forget. Varuna type seems to indicate a certain strength of character. He is resolute, clean, intolerant of fifth, fastidious in the performance of sacrifices, and in control of his anger and tranquility. Kubera type commands honor and attendants. He is emotional and enjoys his leisure and pleasures. Gandharva traits indicate a man who is fond of laughter, dancing, music and stories; he is well-versed.
Lets create a better society for our future child.

If You Are Planning For Pregnancy, Optimise Natural Fertility In Couple With Ayurveda.

You have the power to directly influence your unborn baby’s lifelong health...Call 9773170560/9825463394

According to Ayurveda, preparing for conception can be easily compared to the process of farming. Just like the health of a crop depends on the quality of soil, seed, proper timing of sowing and water (containing nutrient matter) gets, the health of a baby depends on the health of its parents. For a pregnancy to be healthy and successful, a couple needs to take care of the following four essential factors.
* Sperm / Ovum (Seeds)
* Uterus (Soil)
* Nourishment (Water)
* Time for Conception (Timing of Sowing)
According to Ayurveda when healthy seed (semen and ovum), healthy uterus, proper nutrition, and the right time...when all these four aspects function well and are balanced, they facilitate natural conception. You plant your seeds, and at the right time, in the right environment, and with the right care, you might start “sprouting” a healthy baby. And you want to make sure your body is the most hospitable place to grow and nurture the precious new life you’re bringing into the world...consciously planning your conception allows you to influence not only your own health during pregnancy but your baby’s health as well.
For optimising natural fertility, Ayurveda defines a healthy person as one who is established in the Self (higher-self), who has, balanced Agni, balanced Doshas, properly formed Dhatus, proper elimination of Malas [wastes], well-functioning bodily processes, and whose mind, senses and soul all are full of bliss.
Ayurvedic body therapies such as Shirodhara, Abhyanga, marma therapy, Nasya, Basti, chakra balancing Pinda help in releasing tension, impurities and trapped energy within the body. They
nourish the body, revitalize the mind and strengthen the immune system. Rejuvenation therapies are beneficial in reducing stress, nourishing all dhatus of the body and pacifying Vata.Panchakarma is usually prescribed for the couples who are planning for pregnancy. Rejuvenative therapies are basically recommended for Vata Dosha, and cooling light therapies for pitta Dosha. Shodhana chikitsa helps in uterine hostility, and non-ovulatory cycles. To remove local disorders, to remove obstructions in passage and to facilitate proper coitus, and to
increase receptivity of the genital tract to the entry of the sperm, Basti is recommended. Massaging the body reduces stress, rejuvenates the entire body, and pacifies the underlying Dosha.
A sedentary lifestyle results in believed to stagnant lymph flow. If the body is too active, the body may not be able to carry away all the waste that is produced. Therefore, the deep tissue massage work to stimulate the flow of lymph. This bodily fluid carries wastes and impurities away from tissues and needs muscle
contractions to move efficiently throughout the body. The massage can help in increasing the chances of conception by clearing blocked fallopian tubes. Which is also an effective technique of interrupting stress and returning the body to a state of equilibrium which involves massaging different areas of the hands and feet (to establish the tension level for the rest of the body) corresponding to those internal organs that may cause infertility.
Ayurveda addresses the internal balances and external influences contributing to the problem by building the Ojas, improving the overall health of the individual, stimulating
the hypothalamus and pituitary glands thereby indirectly inducing the ovaries to ripen and release eggs.
Ojas is the essence of all of the bodily tissues and directly influencing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual life of a person. If Ojas is low, perfect and positive health is impossible – it is difficult for a person to let go off disease, or attain the higher states of bliss and consciousness.

Balancing vata dosha is more important, if you are planning for pregnancy: Blood circulation, respiration, excretion, and transportation are considered the main functions of vata dosha. Apana vata, one of the five types of vata, is naturally responsible for menses, secretion of semen, and elimination of urine and stool. The pelvic area, or the reproductive system, is one of natural locations of the vata dosha. When data dosha gets aggravated, it is unable to carry out its natural functions and can create semen related disorders and irregularity in menstruation cycle.

CONSCIOUS CONSCEPTION : PREGNANCY & SPIRITUALITY

Conception, pregnancy, and motherhood is the deepest spiritual journey you have ever known.

Conscious Consception is the process to a mindful decision, to a mindful process in which we prepare body, mind and spirit and return the moment of life creation. Empowering the divine feminine and the divine masculine, and making them active participants in the sacred rite of co-creation with the divine.
Through the act of consciously conceiving your baby by connecting with their souls pre-conception and clearing your body, mind and spirit of toxicity, old patterning and emotions, you can bring a child to their full potential and birth high frequency beings.
Clear Your Own Energetic and Spiritual Blocks With Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a traditional system of healing that concentrates not only on the physical body, but also goes beyond the understanding of consciousness. It is said that the human body is composed of panchamahabhutas. When a person is in darkness, the panchamahabhutas residing in tridoshas are disrupted. To bring back the equilibrium to the dosha, agni, dhatu, mala, and to have mental happiness, freshness of sense organs and good spiritual intellect conception along with ayurveda should be practised as suggested in classical texts.
Pregnancy is a stage where a woman goes through physical, emotional, and mental stress. To overcome these situations and to attain a systematic and harmonious life, she should follow many things in life.
Ayurveda emphasizes the preconception period just as much, if not more, than the pregnancy period itself.
Before any growth or progress, a cleansing of the things that do not serve you well must occur. This is an opportunity to start new, on a blank slate, so that you can offer your highest self to the passage of pregnancy and to parenthood. Anger, grief, toxins, emotional heaviness, and more all have a profound impact on your pregnancy. In fertility cleansing, there is a specific effort to remove toxins and excess doshas from the field, the nutrients and fluid, and the seed, which are deeper tissue layers and therefore require deeper cleansing. This is also a time to cleanse yourself of any dysfunctionalities within—any anger, greed, attachment, or excess pride and ego. Release all expectations of life and of yourself and even any expectations that you may have of your future child.
So, CLEANSE is on of the first stage for preparing a healthy and conscious pregnancy, and Panchkarama is one of the best Ayurvedic cleanse treatment on this planet, if you are planning for pregnancy. The cleanse serves to clear toxins (ama) and excess doshas so that channels flow freely and toxins do not inhibit the proper functioning of any tissue.
Cleanse : This ensures you have the best quality egg or sperm, and your Ojas is balanced and refilled, and so you feel like you have good energy to go into pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This process can be done 3 to 6 months before by both partners plan to try to conceive.....I simply want that all of these Ayurveda practices and the preparations for conception is our intention for being healthy ourselves, and inviting a healthy being into the world, mind, body and spirit.
On an Ayurvedic spiritual level, the path to conscious conception can involve visualizing the person, their qualities and characteristics of soul we are calling in.
According to Ayurvedic anatomy and physiology, the tissues of the body take 45 days to receive nourishment at their deepest levels after a cleanse and rejuvenation program. Within this is the understanding that it takes few days for each tissue layer of the body to be nourished. To nourish your cells all the way down to egg or sperm level, the 7th tissue layer, it’s going to take 49 days for prime nourishment to reach that level.
These Ayurvedic cleanse practice remove toxins from the GI tract, and even deeper tissues, before we rebuild them. Other self care routines are also adopted, which can be continued in daily life for long-term benefit.
After a cleanse, the aim is to balance our digestive strength, and use deeply nourishing herbs and foods to nourish all our tissues. As mentioned, in Ayurveda, we talk about 7 tissue layers of the body, and the reproductive tissues (egg and sperm) are the 7th tissue. This means that it may be the final tissue to be fully nourished – and even beyond, and after the reproductive tissue, is our deepest layer of resilience, immunity, and strength, that we named ‘Ojas.’ Ojas is truly the substance responsible for fertility, and creation of new life. Certain herbs and foods are specifically used to build Ojas, as well as specifically used to nourish the reproductive tissue. This may differ for you dependent on your digestive capacity, constitution, and specific imbalances you are working with.
In the physical body, unlike the other dhatus, there is no unstable form of shukra dhatu to be digested and transformed into another dhatu. Shukra is the end of the line in the dhatu transformation cycle. There is, however, an aspect of shukra dhatu that undergoes a different type of transformation called sublimation. From the sublimation of shukra, ojas is formed, and ojas then becomes a part of every dhatu, providing it with strength and stability. The journey from rasa to ojas is a cycle that takes six days according to vaidya Charaka and one month according to vaidya Sushruta.
The preconception time offers a golden opportunity to provide the best of the both of you to your future baby. Ayurvedic preconception care takes advantage of our body’s natural ability to cleanse and renew. Ayurveda offers a complete approach to fertility that embraces both the male and the female roles as equally important.
According to Ayurveda, the egg and sperm - this reproductive tissue is the very last tissue in our bodies to be created. It is the most refined, most complete tissue after we digest and process all the food, thoughts, and emotions that we ingest. As such, its perfection requires the best of the best— the best food, the best thoughts, the best environment. This is especially true for men, since fully mature sperm are produced, on average, every two months. For women, maintaining a healthy environment protects the quality of the eggs that they were born with.
For conception to occur, Ayurveda says that there are four essential components that must work together optimally—timing (rtu), the field (kshetra), fluids and nutrition (ambu), and the seed (bija).
The best gift you can offer to your future baby is planning for pregnancy.

THOUGHTS AND DEEDS AT THE TIME OF CONCEPTION

Creating a new life brings about many changes, both physical and emotional. This is an attempt to accompany women in this symphony of creation from the time of conception with a practical Ayurvedic approach on how to embrace pregnancy by consciously honouring and assisting the miraculous journey of giving life to life.

Conception
If the sexual energy is transmuted into Ojas or spiritual energy by pure thoughts, more chances are there to enter pure soul at the time of conception. Just as metals and chemicals are purified by heating, so also the sexual energy is purified and changed into divine energy by spiritual Sadhana, by entertaining sublime, soul-elevating thoughts of the Self or Atman. Observe strict continence in thought, word and deed. Give up thinking useless and vain thoughts. Keep balance of mind in all conditions and circumstances, contemplating the Divine. Direct the sexual energy into the spiritual channel at the time of conception. Complete sublimation of the sexual energy into Ojas Sakti is necessary. Then only you are perfectly safe. Then only you will be established in Samadhi, as Rasasvad will entirely vanish. Extreme patience, constant vigilance, perseverance and rigorous Sadhana are necessary to eradicate the sexual impulses and attain perfect purity in thought, word and deed.
One can improve Ojas Shakti by transforming Veerya (semen) to Ojas by Spiritual Sadhana.
Observe strict continence in thought, word and deed. Give up thinking useless and vain thoughts. Keep balance of mind in all conditions and circumstances, contemplating the Divine.
As dispassion increases, so is the vital energy not allowed to leak out. The greater the Vairagya (non-attachment to worldly objects) the more secure will be the semen. The more the preservation of semen, the greater will be the transmutation into Ojas which means abundant physical, mental, moral and spiritual strength and quick evolution. Pranayam helps a lot in gaining control over the physical machinery and the mind. To have control over the mind means to have control over the Prana Sakti and prevent Veerya from being let out. To have control over this masculine power means to have abundant Ojas which enables the aspirant to glow spiritually. Intense Sadhana will sublimate the sexual energy into spiritual energy.
Aurveda says that of all the energies that are in the human body the highest is what they call "Ojas". Now this Ojas is stored up in the brain, and the more Ojas is in a man's head, the more powerful he is, the more intellectual, the more spiritually strong.
The body has three subtle important elements viz ojas, tejas, and prana. Ojas is believed to be the last essence of semen. It is related to vigor and vitality. Ayurveda gives special importance to these three factors. Ojas is the super-fine essence of kapha dosha associated with lunar cycles; it is therefore connected to regeneration. The qualities of ojas and kapha dosha are similar: liquid, sweet, and unctuous. Together they provide great support for the immune system and the reserves of life force.
Depleted ojas may manifest as chromosomal defects in the fetus and can cause congenital abnormalities . If the ojas of the baby is weak, the child may be born with a defect in the heart, a cleft palate, atrial septal defect, or ventricle septal defect.
While building ojas it is also essential to avoid stress and other related factors. One should also focus on cleaning the system with processes like Panchakarma and then rejuvenating the body with rasayana and tonic before pregnancy.
How can the modern mother implement the ancient practices of Ayurveda as she embarks on the journey to bring a vital new life into this world?
Pregnancy should be planned as it should not be an accident.

OJAS AND PREGNANCY

Ojas: The Essence of Baby’s Development
Month to Month Nutrition Program to Increase Ojas : Call 9773170560/9825463394
It is said that abundant ojas in the mother creates love and compassion that she passes on to her baby.
Ancient Ayurvedic texts by Vagbhat describe–in detail–embryonic nourishment at conception and for gestation by the 5 elements. They describe the seat of the soul as a sixth tissue (the nervous system), which is the next to last tissue in the sequence of tissue nutrition in the body. The quality of mind and connectedness to this life are dependent upon the quality of the nervous tissue. Vagbhat explains that ojas – the finest product of maternal and paternal digestion and contained in the reproductive seed material — is the essence of the embryo and fetus, and the first component for baby’s tissue formation, and Ayurveda explain that stem cells are nourished by ojas.
When a mother enters pregnancy with a healthy diet and lifestyle, making the necessary changes to enhance ojas that will help build the best quality body for baby. But when she has accumulated wastes from incomplete digestion or toxicities in the body or excessive rajas or tamas in the mind (anger, depression, and so on) these conditions can tend to vibrate at odds with gestational priorities, and undermine the baby’s development.
According to Ayurveda, Ojas is a essence present in every dhatu (tissue). The purest substance in the universe and omnipresent in the human being, Ojas is responsible consciousness, purity in thoughts, health, positivity in feelings in every situation, better immunity, longevity, intelligence and memory.
Ojas gets formed first in the body of living beings.5 This indicates that. Ojas is established during the time of the fertilization of sperm and ovum. It means Ojas is already exists in sperm and ovum in the Saar form. When all body parts of
fetus formed, Ojas manifested by its symptoms. In other
words we can say that this Ojas before pregnancy remains in
sperm and ovum.
The best way to describe formation of Ojas is to understand
how honey is made. Nearly ten to twenty thousand bees collect the nectar or essence of thousands of fruits and
flowers and stored them into their hives for the formation of
honey. Similarly Ojas is also the nectar or essence and is the
end product of various physiological process.
Sattvic foods will build ojas and nutrition plays important part to build Ojas. Also many of the health challenges of pregnancy can be prevented by paying attention to nutrition.
Nutrition
Food needs to be fresh and wholesome. Fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and dairy products are the mainstay of the diet. Best to eat organic; avoid packaged foods. Food should be delicious and usually cooked because it is easier to digest. Vegetable intake is extremely important. Dark, leafy greens should be eaten at least daily. A broad range of vitamins and nutrients will be provided by these vegetables.
Eat all 6 tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent), but emphasize sweet, sour, and salty. Examples include dairy, sweeteners, oils, fruits, vegetables, beans, spices, and nuts.
How food is eaten is just as in important as what food is eaten. The mother should feel light, happy and satisfied after her meal. She should not feel unconliortable, have gas or pain, or feel dull.
Sattvic foods will build ojas. These include many of the ones previously listed but most inmportantly include milk and ghee. Milk should be taken warmed with ayurvedic herbs. Ghee is a nourishing, unctuous food. It promotes digestion and is digested quickly. Tamasic foods often produce ama instead of ojas.
It is important to keep the fetus nourished throughout pregnancy to build the ojas. Also low birth weight may be linked to disease later in life. The theory is that if nutrients are insufficient then they will be diverted from organ development to more important areas like brain development. During the time an organ is developing it needs to receive ilie correct nutrition or it may never develop properly.
Abhyanga is important to perform to increase Ojas. Stress and fatigue that may push vata dosha out of balance are relieved through abhyanga. Energy will be kept flowing throughout the body and all systems will be stimulated.
The aura of a pregnant woman is one of the easiest to see, for it is particularly luminous and full of gold particularly when Ojas increases. Pregnancy is therefore a privileged time for spiritual growth & Ojas. Itis a time to do a lot of meditation and enlightening reading, and to work at developing intuition and perception.
During the 8th month, there is cross movement of the ojas through the channels carrying nourishment from the mother to the foetus, because of the immaturity of the foetus. The ojas moves between mother and baby. It is important to rest during this time and eat ojas building foods. The mother shouldn’t waste energy and should let the energy go inward. She should spend time in nature as well as chant and meditate. Things to avoid include overwork, worry, anger, hunger, excessive sex, sorrow and devitalized food. In the 8th month of pregnancy, Sthira Guna of Ojas is not established completely. Therefore Ojas is unstable in 8th month because exchange of Ojas takes place through blood vessels from mother to fetal heart and from fetal to mother’s heart. When Ojas is transmitted from Garbha (fetus) to mother, she looks happy and born fetus at this time will be prone to develop infectious disorders. Due to which delivery in this month is to be considered dangerous. Ojas gets nourishment after digestion of food. In short we can say that maintenance of Ojas is dependent on Ojas nourishing food/nutrition and its proper digestion. Good nourishing quality of food with deficient digestive energy causes vitiation in the Ojas. Ojas is the pure and subtle substance that’s extracted from food that has been completely digested. Ojas is considered as the most refined result of digestion metabolism, absorption and assimilation as our physical, mental and spiritual strength is totally dependent on Ojas. Therefore Ojas is considered as vital nectar of life.
The description of foetal growth in the 8th month given in Charak, Vagbhatta, Kashyapa and Bhava- Prakash. According to them due to immaturity of foetus, the ‘ojas’ remains unstable. It moves from mother to foetus and from foetus to the mother through rasa carrying channels. Due to the transfer of ‘ojas’mother and foetus become happy and dull alternatively. If delivery takes place the life becomes doubtful and they do not consider this month for delivery......According to Sushruta due to instability of ‘ojas’ child born in this month dies due to absence of ‘ojas’ and influence of‘nairrta’ portion.....According to Ayurveda body is fully developed but due to lack of ojas (Immunity), if delivery takes place, it is not sure that baby remain alive or not.........During the 8th month the overall growth of baby is rapid. Tremendous brain growth occurs at this time.
The nature of Ojas will differ from person to person depending on constitution, Agni, Satva and so on. Ojas is the essence of dhatus, which gives strength to the body, improves immunity power and takes care of well being of the body. It is present all through the body like ghee exists in the milk or honey exists in the flower.
Babies are also able to remember things from their neonatal experience as well as learn while in the womb.

MAHARISHI CHARAKA

Newly born baby needs special care. Maharshi Charka in Sharira sthana has explained that immediately after the birth, while steps are being taken to expel the placenta, the following measures should be taken for the resuscitation of the foetus –

1. Striking or rubbing of stones near the root of the ears of the child
2. Sprinkling of the face with cold water (during summer) and warm water (during winter)
3. If there is no movement in the child after the above procedures, fanning should be done with a fan prepared of straps of bamboo etc. till child breaths.
4. Once the child recovers breath and becomes normal, he should be cleaned with water.
5. Child’s palate, lips, throat and tongue should be wiped with attendant’s finger, nails from which are properly clipped of and which are well-cleaned and covered with cotton swabs. Soaked with unctuous substances.
6. Thereafter, the child should be given to eat ghee mixed with rock- salt for emesis of amniotic fluid.
7. Thereafter, the cord should be marked at a distance of eight Angulas (approximately 25.5 cm) from its root where it is attached with the navel. Both the sides of this mark should be carefully taken in hand and with the help of an Ardhadhara type of instrument (having very sharp edge), made of gold, silver or steel, the cord should be cut at this mark.
8. The proximal end of the cord should be carefully tied with the help of a thread and the ends of the thread should be loosely tied to the neck of the foetus.
9. Thereafter, the birth rites as prescribed in the Vedas should be performed. First of all, the child should be given honey and ghee impregnated with mantra prescribed for this purpose in the Vedas; thereafter, following the same procedure milk from the right breast should be given to the child at first, an earthen jar filled with water should be impregnated with mantras and kept near the head of the child.

Charka considered breast milk as wholesome diet as it provides full nutrition, increases strength and keeps healthy.

Breast feeding decreases the incidence or severity of diarrhea, respiratory illness, otitis media, bacteremia, bacterial meningitis and necrotizing enterocolitis.

Does your child suffer from Arochaka (loss of appetite), Running nose (Pratishyaya), Jwara (Fever), Kasa (Cough) and Snigdha Sukla Mukhekshana (Paleness of face and eye)?

Emotional Health For Mother During Pregnancy

Looking after your emotional health has benefits for both you and your unborn baby.

When you are pregnant, your baby is exposed to everything you experience. This includes the sounds in the environment, the air you breathe, the food you eat and the emotions you feel.

When you feel happy and calm, it allows your baby to develop in a happy, calm environment. However, emotions like stress and anxiety can increase particular hormones in your body, which can affect your baby’s developing body and brain.

According to Ayurveda Vata, by nature, is easily affected by influences—both positive and negative. Vata Dosha is responsible for cell division during embryonic development. If the mother is calm and healthy during pregnancy, Vata and its subsets function optimally and the fetus’s development and birth progress in a healthy manner. The mother’s diet, lifestyle, environment, and mental/emotional states influence and even alter the growing baby’s lifelong constitution. So, influences during pregnancy and birth may affect a person’s entire life. If there is any imbalance in Vata Dosha, it may hamper the normal function and the process of cell division. This may lead to various chromosomal abnormalities either structural or functional like Down syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome etc. Pregnant women has to consume Vata Dosha vitiating diet.

Anxiety, in early pregnancy, results in loss of fetus and in the second and the third trimester leads to a decrease in birth weight and increased activity of the Hypothalamus.

Garbhaniparicharya i.e.antenatal care mentioned in Ayurveda plays a vital role at excellence in form of fetus, its development without any defects. The main aims of GarbhiniParicharya are: to avoid hazardous effect on fetus, to promote normal growth and development of fetus and to conduct normal delivery without any fetal and maternal complications. Garbhani Paricharya has direct scientifically approach towards development of healthy fetus inside the womb of pregnant mother without having any birth defect.

According to Ayurvedic literature about the anomalies or congenital defects precipitating in the fetus and aiming onsignificant factors that attached to the defective sperm, ovum, Aatma(Soul), time and dietetic regimen of the mother MaturVihar(deeds of pregnant mother). All these factors are responsible for vitiation of Dosha producing abnormalities of fetus in terms of appearance, complexion and Indriyas.Whatever the Ahar or Vihar the parents are indulged during the conception it will lead to same effects on the child.

Those women, who are devotee to God, pursue Brahman like deeds and those who observe modest and beneficial life style give birth to virtuous and genius child.

Mother’s diet and activities as well as nature of Panchmahabhoota in the environment at the time of fertilization determine the healthy state of foetus and newborn. The unhealthy state of either factor can affect the Prakriti of foetus and even result in various congenital anomalies.

CONCEIVING VIRTUOUS CHILDREN

Attracting a high soul or evolved soul to take birth in your womb.

The Mental Condition Of A Child Depends Upon The Mental Status Of His Parents At The Time He Is Conceived.

Change in Mother’s Mental State Can Influence Her Baby’s Development Before and After Birth.

As baby grows during pregnancy, it’s constantly getting messages from its mother. It’s not just hearing her heartbeat and whatever music she might play to her belly; it also gets chemical signals through the placenta.

If the mother is depressed, that affects how the baby develops after it’s born. The environment a unborn baby is growing up in the mother’s womb is very important.

A healthy start for the brain:
The baby’s brain has to be healthy and protected from diseases and other risks. Promoting the development of a healthy brain can start even before pregnancy. A healthy diet and the right nutrients like sufficient folic acid will promote a healthy pregnancy and a healthy nervous system in the growing baby.

During pregnancy, the brain can be affected by many types of risks, such as stress, trauma, or mental health conditions like depression & exposure to toxins.

Mothers who 'connect' with their baby during pregnancy are more likely to interact in a more positive way with their infant after it is born.

The time of conception is very important and should be carefully planned. The science of creating spiritual progeny of pure consciousness is called the Garbhadhana Samskara. There are several factors involved in this process including the spiritual consciousness of the parents, the health of the prospective parents, and astrological considerations.

The Garbhadhana Samskara is a purely spiritual act as is confirmed by Lord Krisna in the Bhagavad-Gita.

Bringing such spiritually aware children into the world is beneficial both for the parents spiritually, as well as for society in general.

THE ASTROLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS

The astrological considerations are two fold. First we examine the charts of the prospective parents and determine their karma in regards to children, that is, if the prevailing times are favorable for having offspring. Secondly, we help in choosing an auspicious time for planting the seed, which carries the soul, into the womb of the mother. This process requires detailed knowledge of the prospective mother’s monthly cycle, that is, when her menses begin and end. Then determines if that particular cycle has the possibility of conception, if so then chooses the date and time for performing the Garbhadhana Samskara, the purificatory sacrament of planting the seed according to religious principles. Unlike ordinary sexual activity which further binds the soul’s of all involved into material consciousness, the Garbhadhana Samskara is a purely spiritual act as is confirmed by Lord Krisna in the Bhagavad-gita - aimed at creating godly children is as good as God Himself.
