Garbh Sanskar:Talking To Your Unborn baby part II

Talking to your unborn baby: Part II
Did you know that when you are pregnant...your baby...while in utero knows EXACTLY how you are feeling and feels it too? Happy, sad, joyful, angry, peaceful, depressed and so on and so forth. You name it...they can feel it! I know it's hard to believe but it is TRUE!! Well, it is what I profoundly believe anyway.

"In the womb we have no barrier to the emotional forces of life. Our experiences may well be more intense before birth than at any later time in life. If we are to understand ourselves, our motives, and personal development, the study of our prenatal experiences is invaluable. These experiences profoundly affect our ability to love ourselves and others and to achieve what we desire in life."

I have spent the last few years reading and experimenting with the idea that all babies know what their mothers, and sometimes fathers, truly are feeling. Through the women I have worked with, most mothers who are deeply in tune with themselves and their babies, can and do feel how their babies are feeling. They sense that when they are struggling...their babies are struggling too! If they were happy and feeling carefree and stress free....they knew their babies were too!

As a society we are more than ready to peg the majority of problems during pregnancy and birth on some physical ailment. I have come to the conclusion though, from the dozens of women I have worked with....we will birth as we were birthed! Until we can and are willing to look at any and all emotional trauma in regards to our own birth, we will struggle to truly create the easy, light, peaceful, and joyous births all woman deeply long for.

"Not only is the fetus affected by what the mother takes into her system-it is equally affected by the state of that system”

How to nurture your baby through communication and stimulation throughout the prenatal period. The crucial part of the  GARBH SANSKAR program is peace, harmony and togetherness within the family. The womb Harmonics program aims to improve your baby's emotional wellbeing by improving yours.

As you begin to apply GARBH SANSKAR you will first of all relax yourself, eliminating or reducing the production of stress hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline, which may flow across the placental wall to reach your unborn child."

“In our experience, nothing gives a child a more solid foundation in life than the experience of being loved and wanted in the womb."

“The unborn child is a sensitive being who is aware of, and responsive to, the mother’s feelings and experience”.

Researchers say that…..

If you enjoy gardening, you may want to consider planting a sapling in your garden or in a special pot. Nurture this plant with love and care and watch it grow as your baby grows. Take a photo of your bump next to this plant with each passing month and then again once your baby is born. Not only will you help make a greener world for your baby you will also have special memories attached to this special plant. You can also make it a yearly ritual to plant a sapling on each birthday your child celebrates.

If you have a hectic lifestyle you are likely to be so involved in your work that you may not notice your baby's movements and the subtle changes your body is going through. If this applies to you, it may be useful to become aware of the times of day your baby is normally active, and to try to make space then to focus on your baby.

The evening is often a good time, or when lying in bed or in the bath. This is perhaps because you are more relaxed at these times. Make some "time" alone with your baby. Decorate your room with lots of baby pictures and smile every time you go by. Look around and plan your shopping lists. Brush up on nursery rhymes and try to remember all those songs you loved as child!

Now that you know that your baby can hear you, make time to talk to him/her directly. You can read your novel aloud or a page from a magazine. The idea is to get your baby accustomed to your voice and tone and your voice does become instrumental in comforting your baby after birth.
There is some connection between a mother's thoughts and her unborn child especially from six months onwards. A preborn baby that age can share mother's emotions because of the hormones that cross the placenta. While babies cannot understand actual words, they can and do react to the tone of voice. So soothing tones calm babies and angry ones upset them.

While the father cannot influence the emotional state of his baby directly, he can indirectly affect the emotional health of his baby by the way he treats the mother. He can nurture his unborn baby by caring for the mother. The more content and secure a woman feels the better it will be for her and consequently the baby as well.

Record your pregnancy:Keep a pregnancy diary, blog or write letters or emails to your baby Take photos and video during pregnancy (and birth).

Go outside for a walk, look at the trees, the the flowers .  Pick something that intrigues you or something you find beautiful. Now describe your object to your baby.  Telly him/her a story about it and the beauty in it.  Why you chose that object and what it means to you.

Pregnancy is a stressful period; I request all of you to guard her against all kinds of pollution, polluted thoughts  and by taking better care of her. It is best not to stress yourself. Take time to rest, to rid yourself of tension and to sink yourself in positive emotions whenever you can. Certainly, the mother's hormones cross the placenta and according to research this affects the fetus. It is only natural to have all kinds of emotions running through your head during your pregnant months.
