PLANNING FOR A BABY?

PANCHAKARMA BEFORE CONCEPTION : THE IMPORTANCE OF A PRE-PREGNANCY DETOX
Preconception program (Beej Shuddhi) For Husband And Wife.
Panchakarma, is an Ayurvedic cleansing and rejuvenating program for the body, mind and consciousness.
The health and functions of all tissues is dependent on having good metabolism or Agni, which controls how well we assimilate food into the body. Hence, the first step in producing healthy sperm and eggs is to ensure metabolism is working well. This is achieved through a deep internal cleansing to balance the doshas and remove toxins ( Ama), ensuring optimal metabolism. For this panchakarma therapy is best advised.
Modern lifestyle leading to increase in stress is a major cause for infertility. Along with the lifestyle habits such as alcohol consumption and the environmental toxicity affecting the sperm’s count, quality, and motility, it also depletes the zinc level in the body, whereas in females, it affects the ovulation and menstruation, leading to the hypothalamic pituitary ovarian dysfunction.
Ayurveda Panchakarma therapy provides physical and mental fitness. It acts at the hormonal level and keep hormones at normalcy. Hence, the hormonal defects of infertility can be rectified by Panchakarma procedures. These would also help in the removal of the accumulated toxins.
There are many health conditions affecting children now a days, from allergies to asthma, eczema, autoimmune diseases, and also a massive rise in the number of kids with autism. Many of these conditions can be traced back to environmental toxin exposure. These exposures also affect your fertility and genetics, and you pass the impact down to your babies at conception. Also you pass more toxins during pregnancy.
The toxic load you have built up prior to pregnancy can have an impact on your children. So it’s worth to plan a pregnancy before 3-6 months, ideally - cleaning up our toxin exposure and levels before conception whenever possible, because if you do release a lot of toxins and get pregnant during that time, the baby is potentially getting a big effect into his or her developing body.
Ayurveda Panchakarma treatment supports health by strengthening body's own self-healing and balancing mechanisms and doesn't rely on intervention by any outside or foreign substance to replace or correct the hormones in the body. It focuses on the treatment holistically with an aim of improving the overall health and quality of life of the individual.
Here seen as the equivalent to planting a tree, for which we need seeds, soil, time and the right nourishment. The seeds are nothing but healthy sperm and ovum; soil is nothing but a healthy uterus, along with the proper time of ovulation.
It's important to cleanse the body from toxins, and nourish it with optimum nutrients to ensure that mind and body are in ideal state for conception.
Panchkarma is required for body detoxification and for providing healthy environment to the embryo.

INFERTILITY
In Ayurved there are three basic body components named as Dosha... Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Vitiated Vata Dosha plays an important role in infertility. Normal areas where Vata Dosha lives in body are abdomen, lumbar region, pelvis, bones. All the reproductive organs are situated mainly in pelvic region which is one of the main places of Vata. So any disturbance in its normal function plays an important role in infertility.
